PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a frequency of requesting information to a management server, in a portable receiver configured to request the information related to receivable one-segment broadcasting to the management server. SOLUTION: A position specifying part 14 specifies a present position of a portable receiver 10 and stores a history of the specified position in a position history holding part 16. A vector calculation part 18 uses the history of the position to calculate a movement vector of the portable receiver 10. A future position estimation part 20 uses the movement vector and the present position to estimate the position of the portable receiver after prescribed time. When it is predicted that the portable receiver is get off a service area under reception after the lapse of the prescribed time, an information request part 22 transmits the present position and movement vector of the portable receiver 10 to the management server and requests information related to a service area to enter next. A broadcast reception part 32 switches reception setting of broadcasting on the basis of the information related to the next service area returned from the management server in response to the information request.
