SINGLE POINT MOORING SYSTEM FOR CONVENTIONAL TANKER AND SHUTTLE TANKER

The present invention provides a single point mooring system for an oil tanker and a shuttle tanker. The single point mooring system is installed on the upper deck of a bow loading and unloading system platform of the shuttle tanker which can convert a bow loading and unloading system into the single point mooring system as needed. According to the present invention, the shuttle tanker can receive crude oil from an oil prospecting ship and a floating oil production and storage plant, transport the crude oil to an oil plant on land, and operate a ship to unload the crude oil on the ocean terminal where the oil tanker normally unloads the crude oil. The shuttle tanker is capable of performing loading and unloading work at a marine plant facility and the ocean terminal like the oil tanker by being moored at a buoy according to an operational situation. Accordingly, the single point mooring system enables a ship owner to benefit significantly by operating the shuttle tanker accomplishing two purposes to load and unload crude oil.
