The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a fuel cell, the cell including a stack (50) of a plurality of cells (10), the stack (50) including an anode compartment (59a) and a cathode compartment (59b), each compartment (59a, 59b) comprising an inlet (60) for a fluid and an outlet (62) for a fluid. The method includes the following step: forming the stack (50); circulating a calibration fluid in the or each compartment (59a, 59b) of the stack (50), while measuring a pressure differential (DeltaP) between the inlet (60) and outlet (62) of the or each compartment (59a, 59b); and exerting an increasing compressive force (E) onto opposite ends of the stack (50) until a final compressive force (Ef) is reached, said final compressive force depending on the or each measured pressure differential (DeltaP). |
