A reciprocating saw 10 (e.g. fret saw, jigsaw, hacksaw), has a rod-shaped handgrip 16, and a hand-held power tool actuating element 26 for providing switching-on and switching-off function for a drive unit, where the drive unit drives a tool 22 (preferably a saw blade). The actuating switch adjusts a tool speed/stroke rate, of the saw based on movement (preferably deflection, rotation, swivelling, swiping or pivoting) of the actuating element by an operators fingers or thumb. The actuating trigger may be directly or indirectly connected with an electrical switching unit, such as a potentiometer, and directly coupled with a motor brake. The actuating element may be lockable by snapping into place or clamping. Preferably a second actuating element (27, figure 6) is partially integrated into the first actuating element.
|
