PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarized light irradiation device, even when a polarization element unit is enlarged, allowing smooth mounting/demounting of the polarization element unit without damaging the polarization element.SOLUTION: A polarization element unit 80 is configured that a plurality of polarization elements 81 are aligned in the width direction of a workpiece W and retained by a frame 82. A pair of rails 91 are provided along the edges of a light irradiation opening 70 of a lamp house 60 for mounting/demounting the polarization element unit 80. The frame 82 has a plurality of sets of rollers 92 in the length direction of the rails 91. The rails 91 have recessed parts 94a, 94b, and 94c corresponding to the respective sets of rollers 92. When mounting the polarization element unit 80, the respective sets of rollers 92 are fitted in the corresponding recessed parts 94a, 94b, and 94c, however, when moving the polarization element unit 80, the respective sets of rollers are not fitted in recessed parts located front side thereof. |
