PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retractable knife, which is locked and unlocked only by giving operation force in the direction in which a retractable knife blade appears/disappears and which also secures a strong locked state. SOLUTION: A guide member 13 is stored in a case 12, and in the guide member 13, a slider 15 for holding a retractable knife blade 14 is stored so as to move back and forth. The slider 15 is provided with a leaf spring 17. The leaf spring 17 is placed so as to be extended in the back-and-forth direction between a slider body 42 and the operation member 44, and is provided with a wing part 98 placeable between projection parts 36 which are provided respectively on both sides in the width direction of the guide member 13. While the wing part 98 is located between the projection parts 36 and the locking of the slider 15 is performed, when operation force in the back-and-forth direction is given to the operation member 44 to curve and deform the leaf spring 17, the wing part 98 is lifted and displaced between the projection parts 36 to perform unlocking.
