The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for adjusting a position of a middle layer of a speaker. More specifically, the apparatus vertically adjusts the position of the middle layer which generates front channel sound in the speaker. The method for adjusting the position of the middle layer of the speaker comprise the steps of: receiving an audio signal corresponding to a video displayed on a screen; extracting a front channel audio signal from the received audio signal; and vertically adjusting the position of the middle layer in which a sound corresponding to the extracted front channel audio signal is generated.
