The present invention relates to a submarine power cable failure point detecting system using an underwater acoustic signal configured to rapidly and exactly detect a failure point of a submarine power cable using the underwater acoustic signal. According to the present invention, the submarine power cable failure point detecting system includes: a hydrophone receiver to detect a discharge sound (underwater acoustic signal) generated from a failure point of a submarine power cable; an analog signal processor; an A/D converter to convert a received analog signal; and an S/W to monitor the receive signal in real time and to acquire data. If a discharge sound (spark) is generated in a failure point by inputting a voltage to the submarine power cable at a predetermined interval using a surge generator, a receiver (hydrophone) located at an underwater receives an underwater acoustic signal (discharge sound) and detects a failure point in which a signal is generated using a reach time of the underwater acoustic signal which has reached firstly to each channel to rapidly and exactly recognize a failure point of the submarine power cable.
|
