A media virtualization system on a home cloud network according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a media content virtualization system which virtualizes media content stored in a plurality of media devices accessing a home network. The media content virtualization system comprises a home device manager, which collects the device information for the media devices and registers and manages the media devices based on the device information, and a home content indexer which collects metadata for the media content from the media devices registered by the home device manager and virtualizes the media content to be accessed regardless of physical position, by using the metadata.
