<p>Ventilating an interior 12 of a motor vehicle 10 with a ventilation device 14, comprising a duct to guide air from the interior 12 to a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine 16. The duct may comprise a first section 22 to guide air to the combustion chamber, a second section 24 to guide air from the interior to the first section 22 and a third section 26 to guide ambient or outside air from the vehicle surroundings 35 to the first section 22. There may be a valve 34 adjustable between a first state where the second duct section 24 is blocked and the third duct section 26 is unblocked and a second state in which the third duct section 26 is blocked and the second duct section 24 is unblocked. There may be an air filter downstream of the second 24 and third 26 duct sections, and downstream of the valve 34. The system is able to quickly remove a large volume of warm air from the interior and a control unit may operate windows or an air conditioning unit to allow the air to be replaced with cooler air.</p> |
