A communication method, a communications system, an access network node and a power limited node

A communication method for a communications network comprising an access network node and a power limited node is disclosed. The method comprises transmitting a wake-up signal from the access network node; receiving the wake-up signal at the power limited node; generating an activation signal based on the received wake-up signal; and changing the operational mode of the power limited node in response to the activation signal from a sleep mode in which the power limited node is not operable to communicate with the access network node to an active mode in which the power limited node is operable to communicate with the access network node.
