PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To debug a programmable controller for executing optimized machine language object on a source code. SOLUTION: When converting a source code into a machine language object, a programming device generates an optimized machine language object and a non-optimized machine language object and transfers the same to a programmable controller. The programmable controller transfers the transferred optimized machine language object and non-optimized machine language object to an internal memory. Data is registered to a table so that an address storing the optimized machine language object is given to a program execution section, and the program execution section is made to execute the optimized machine language object in an ordinary operation condition. When debugging, data is registered in a table so that the non-optimized machine language object indicates the stored start address; thereby the program execution section is made to execute the non-optimized machine language object.
