The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device and a manufacturing method thereof. The liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel which includes a first substrate which includes gate and data wires to intersect each other, a thin film transistor which is connected to two wires and a pixel electrode which is connected to one electrode of the thin film transistor, a second substrate which faces the first substrate and includes a color filer layer, and a liquid crystal layer which is interposed between two substrates, a first polarization plate which is formed on the outer side of the first substrate, has a smaller area than the first substrate, and completely overlaps the first substrate to be attached, a second polarization plate which is formed on the outer side of the second substrate, has a larger area than the second substrate, and is attached on the outside of each edge of the second substrate with an exposed state of a first width, and a side sealing agent which covers the side of the liquid crystal panel and coincides with the end of the second polarization plate. |
