<p>A dolomite pellet for use as feed material for sintered dolomite production is formed using calcium stearate. A method of forming a pellet is disclosed where the dolomite pellet may have an external configuration in plan view of first and second substantially parallel sides extending between first and second substantially semicircular ends. The pellet may define a first longitudinal axis extending substantially parallel to the sides, and the pellet may define a second axis perpendicular to the first axis. The pellet may have a substantially rounded rectangular cross section in the direction of the second axis. The pellet further may define a third axis perpendicular to the first axis, and have a cross section in the direction of said third axis having first and second curved sides extending between first and second substantially parallel ends.
