PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the rigidity of a vehicle body side structure while enabling an end plate to be formed as a sub-assembly. SOLUTION: The vehicle body side structure includes: a side sill 2 which is formed of a side sill inner panel 3 and a side sill outer panel 4 and the back end of which is opened; a rear frame 18; a rear inner panel 25 including a wheel house inner part 27 comprising a wheel house concave part 29 and a wheel house inner brim 30; a rear outer panel 31; and the end plate 13. The end plate includes: a body 55; an upper joining piece 57; a vehicle inside joining piece 58; and a vehicle outside joining piece 59. The vehicle outside joining piece is joined to the side sill outer panel or the rear outer panel, the vehicle inside joining piece is joined to the rear frame, the upper joining piece is arranged at the front surface side of the wheel house inner brim, and a vehicle inside portion 56 at the upper edge of the body is arranged at the vehicle outside face side of the wheel house concave part.
