299,045. Soc. Anon. des Automobiles Delaunay-Bellerville. Oct. 21, 1927, [Convention date]. Laminated springs; resilient shackles.- Laminated springs of vehicles are attached at one end to the chassis longitudinal 3, Fig. 2, by an indiarubber ring 9 eccentrically mounted on a pin 10 on the longitudinal 3 and surrounded by the eye 11 of the spring 1, the centre of the pin 10 being below the centre of the ring 9. The possibility of mounting the spring eye on the pin 10 with play of the order of 2 to 3 mm. is also mentioned. Specification 278,701 is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a shackle a-b, Fig. 2 (Cancelled), connected at its upper part to the spring 1 and at its lower part to the longitudinal 3, so that slight longitudinal displacement is permitted while the shackle always tends to return to the normal position of equilibrium, the other end of the spring being attached to the longitudinal 3 by an ordinary shackle. If the rear shackle is the shorter, its play is limited by stops. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
|
