METHOD FOR PREDICTING ECONOMIC GENETIC TRAIT IN HANWOO USING AMBP GENE AND SNP MARKER ASSOCIATED WITH THEREOF AND ITS PRIMER SET

The present invention relates to a method for predicting economic trait in a Korean native cattle using an Alpha-1-microglobulin/bikunin precursor (AMBP) gene and a SNP marker and a primer set associated with the same and, more particularly, to a method for discovering the SNP of the AMBP gene which encodes Alpha-1-microglobulin related to immunosuppression, bikunin related to cell growth control, and two plasma glycoproteins, and for predicting economic trait of the Korean native cattle by the same. By using the SNP marker of the present invention, thickness of back fat, loin muscle area, marbling score, and carcass weight of the Korean native cattle can be predicted, and ultimately high producing Korean native cattle can be distinguished in early stages and be useful for selection and improvement.
