<p>The present invention relates to an infrared touch screen apparatus applied to a curved display apparatus with two opposite sides having a curved shape, the infrared touch screen apparatus includes: a plurality of infrared transmitting devices sequentially arranged in a first direction on one of two bent sides of the curved display apparatus; a plurality of infrared receiving devices sequentially arranged in a first direction to be opposite to the infrared transmitting devices on the other of the two bent sides of the curved display apparatus, and configured to receive infrared rays transmitted from the infrared transmitting devices, respectively; and a touch control unit configured to operate in a first scan control mode of controlling the infrared transmitting devices and the infrared receiving devices and in a second scan control mode of controlling the infrared receiving devices to receive infrared rays transmitted from the infrared transmitting devices diagonally positioned such that the infrared receiving devices can receive infrared rays transmitted from the infrared transmitting devices positioned in a direction opposite to the infrared receiving devices. The touch control unit operates in the first scan control mode to detect first touch coordinates in the first direction, and operates in the second scan control mode to detect second touch coordinates in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, based on detected preliminary coordinates in the first direction and the first touch coordinates. Accordingly, the infrared touch screen apparatus may be applied even to a curved display apparatus by recognizing a single touch and a multi touch using a plurality of infrared transmitting devices and a plurality of infrared receiving devices, which are arranged on two opposite sides on a screen, respectively, that is, only two opposite bent sides of the curved display apparatus.</p> |
