Catalytic apparatus.-An apparatus for carrying out exothermic: catalytic gaseous reactions under pressure with recirculation of the gases comprises an outer pressure resisting container A and an inner container B which contains the catalyst. The fresh gases entering at D circulate ia the space E between the two containers and after being mixed with recirculated gases entering at G pass into the catalyst space. A heat exchanger H may be provided within the container B as shown in the Figure. |
