1. A method of customizing hardware by an end user for a mobile phone, comprising:
providing processing electronics comprising a processor, a memory, an input, and an output; receiving from an end-user, through the input, a selection of a mobile phone shell from a set of mobile phone shells; storing the selection of the mobile phone shell in the memory; determining with the processing electronics a subset of interchangeable hardware components having different functions based on a compatibility between the selected mobile phone shell and a set of available interchangeable hardware components, wherein the compatibility is based on at least one size value; sending to the end-user, through the output, the subset of interchangeable hardware components having different functions; receiving from the end-user, through the input, a selection of at least one hardware component from the subset of interchangeable hardware components; and storing the selection of the at least one hardware component in the memory. |
