1. An accessory for a vehicle having a passenger side bucket seat, said bucket seat having a back, a substantially horizontal seat portion and vertical front, side and back panels extending downward therefrom, said accessory comprising an apparatus that when installed and in an open position provides an essentially planar barrier at an angle between the front panel of the passenger seat and the dashboard of the vehicle, and when in said open position and installed is secured by a securing element to the dashboard,
which accessory comprises: a first member having a horizontal flexible planar section designed to be set on said seat so as to place said first planar section essentially flush with the substantially horizontal seat portion said first planar section having front, back and side edges, said front edge facing the dashboard and said back edge at the back of the horizontal seat portion when set on said seat, a second flexible planar member having front, back and side edges and coupled at its front edge to the front edge of the first member which when in the open position provides said planar barrier; and third flexible planar members vertical to and disposed on the side edges of said first and second panels which third members form barriers extending from the back edge of the first panel to the dashboard, wherein said first, second and third planar members are of fabric or mesh and surrounded by a collapsible frame enclosing said fabric or mesh wherein the accessory is placed in a closed position by compressing the collapsible frame into a spiral. |
