The present invention provides a method for recognizing an image at an improved matching speed comprising: an image input processing step of processing a signal inputted through an image input unit as image information; a feature extracting step of extracting and acknowledging features including corner features of the image information; a feature classifying step of classifying the corner feature extracted at the feature extracting step according to a preset corner feature classification criterion; and a feature matching step of matching the features with one another using the corner features classified at the feature classifying step.
