<p>The present invention relates to a door latch for a vehicle, which is installed on a door of a vehicle to restrict a latch gear containing a striker fixed to a vehicle body in a mounting hole to lock the door. The door latch comprises: a housing having a first axis and a second axis which are formed to be spaced apart from each other, on both sides of an opening; a latch gear which is installed on the first axis formed in the housing to have a rotation structure and has a mounting hole and one or more shoulder launching units to restrict a striker; a foul which is installed on the second axis formed in the housing to have a rotation structure and has a restricting end to shoulder launch the shoulder launching units of the latch gear; and a release lever which is installed on the second axis having the foul to have a rotation structure and has an unlocking slot formed therein. An external handle lever is installed on one side of the release lever to have a rotation structure through a third axis, and gear interworking units which are in contact with each other are correspondingly installed in the external handle lever and the release lever so that the release lever can be engaged with the external handle lever in a gear structure to be rotated through the gear interworking units.</p> |
