The present invention relates to a bacteriophage SA12 exhibiting host sensitivity to staphylococcus and a composition containing the same. Compared to an existing bacteriophage exhibiting a weak bacteriolytic activity, the bacteriophage of the present invention exhibits an excellent infectious function also for methicillin antibiotic sensitive staphylococcal aureus (MSSA) and methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) so as to be used as a biological control agent.
