A display device for providing a service for recommending at least one piece of content comprises: a network interface for receiving the content and information on the content from the first server and user information of the display device from a second server; a sensor for sensing a signal; a memory for storing information on the content which is received from the first server; a controller for controlling a display module; and the display module for outputting the content received from the first server. The second server includes a social network service (SNS) server. When a specific signal is sensed by the sensor, the controller generates a first service page including at least one piece of recommended content based on the user information acquired through a data communication with the second server and the content information stored on the memory, and controls the display device to output the generated first service page through the display module.
