The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for controlling a biological decomposition reaction by monitoring stirring torque. According to the present invention, progress and completion of the biological decomposition reaction can be exactly checked by the method for controlling the biological decomposition reaction in a batch reactor by monitoring stirring torque. Therefore, production costs can be reduced by increasing the volume processed by the apparatus per time and the yield while time loss and economic loss, caused by influence of disturbance factors generated in various environments, are prevented.
