1. A communication system, comprising:
a portable reader controller device having a reader application; a single reader, without an internal contactless reader application; and a portable user device, wherein the reader is configured to operate under control of the reader application, when the portable reader controller device is coupled to the reader, to allow data to be transmitted between the reader controller device, the portable user device, and the reader to complete a transaction, wherein a security level of the data transmission is determined at least in part on the reader application. |
