A donor substrate includes a base layer, a photo-thermal conversion layer which is arranged on the base layer, a buffer layer which is arranged on the photo-thermal conversion layer and includes a TiO2-PTFE complex body, and a transfer layer which is arranged on the buffer layer. The hydrophobic property of the buffer layer is maintained by self-cleaning by incident light. Thereby, the buffer layer is easily separated from the transfer layer. The transfer of a part of the buffer layer is prevented.
