[Class 20 (iv).] A detachable nosing for stairs and steps consists of an anglebar a on which a rubber layer b is vulcanized to cover the outer surface of both arms of the bar. The nosing is secured by sliding the slots g under the heads of screws d, and by screws e inserted in sockets c, plugs being stamped out of the rubber to allow insertion of the screws. The screws d may engage sockets similar to the sockets c. The step may be cast on the nosing with the screws and sockets complete. |
