Provided is a virtual machine synchronization system for synchronizing a primary virtual machine executed by a main host server and a secondary virtual machine executed by a sub host server based on a checkpoint. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a virtual machine synchronization system includes a monitoring unit configured to monitor state information of the primary virtual machine, and a synchronization control unit configured to draw a period of a checkpoint for synchronizing the primary virtual machine and the secondary virtual machine by applying fuzzy inference using the state information provided from the monitoring unit, and to set a following checkpoint depending on the drawn period.
