PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem of a conventional separator for fuel cell that torsional deformation is likely to occur due to the load in the thickness direction or the swelling of a membrane electrode assembly, when constituting a unit cell or a fuel cell stack.SOLUTION: Rectangular separators 3, 4 constituting a unit cell C by being bonded to a membrane electrode assembly 2 are configured so that a rectangular frame-like holding member 5, for holding the shape of the separators 3, 4, is arranged on the peripheral edge in the outer side face of a cell. The shape is held in normal state while enhancing the overall rigidity by means of the holding member 5, thus suppressing torsional deformation due to the load in the thickness direction or the swelling of the membrane electrode assembly, when constituting a unit cell C or a fuel cell stack M. |
