PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a UV curable water-based ink capable of suppressing the occurence of an offset to achieve high-speed recording even by the irradiation of UV rays in a wavelength range on a long wavelength side and excellent in storage stability.SOLUTION: The UV curable water-based ink comprises: a UV polymerizable compound; a water insoluble thioxanthone compound having an absorption peak in a wavelength range of 375 nm or more and 450 nm or less; a water insoluble tertiary amine compound; water; and a water soluble organic solvent including at least a solvent (A) dissolving the thioxanthone compound and the tertiary amine compound.
