PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fitting tool and a fitting method capable of surely fixing a roof installation object on a roof by simple work, without impairing an outward appearance.SOLUTION: A fitting tool installs and fixes a roof installation object on and to a roof of a building structure, and comprises: a pair of side plates 1 and 2 oppositely arranged at an interval and positioning an overlapping connection part of a roof plate material for constructing the roof between its mutual ones; a top plate 3 integrally connected and forming a receiving surface 3a of the roof installation object on an upper surface; a drawing bolt 4 for mutually approaching the side plates 1 and 2 by bending-deforming with connection parts 1b and 2b with the top plate 3 as a starting point by fastening-in of a nut 4b; and a pair of holding pieces 5 and 6 respectively integrally connected to the inner wall lower end of the side plates 1 and 2 and holding its tip part by abutting on the overlapping connection part of the roof plate material by the mutual approach of the side plates 1 and 2. The top plate 3 is provided with at least one recessed part composed of a bottom part 7a having an opening hole of forming a screw part and a wall part 7b of a down grade for mutually connecting the bottom part 7a and the top plate 3.
