PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize easy, low-cost and high-reliable determination of contact between butting surfaces of optical devices in an optical axis adjustment process.SOLUTION: An optical axis adjustment apparatus for adjusting optical axes of first and second optical devices comprises a control section that adjusts a position of a first fine-adjustment stage to which the first device is fixed and adjusts a position of a second fine-adjustment stage to which the second device is fixed. The first fine-adjustment stage comprises a first guide pin section consisting of a first piezo electric element, and the second fine-adjustment stage comprises a first guide pin butting section arranged at a position facing the first guide pin section. The apparatus also comprises a state determination unit that determines a contact state between butting surfaces of the first and second devices on the basis of a first electric signal generated from the first piezo electric element when the first guide pin section contacts the first guide pin butting section. |
