PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet detection device which eliminates necessities of inputting a manual operation by an operator for sheet types to improve convenience.SOLUTION: A printed label preparing device comprises: an operation surface 105A on which an operation sheet SH provided with sensor parts SP including an uneven shape representing sheet types; a receiving portion 111 that receives and passes the operation sheet SH therethrough while positioning the sheet from the rear side and then discharges the sheet to the operation surface 105A on the front side; and a sheet detection portion that detects the uneven shapes of the sensor parts SP of the operation sheet SH to be received at the receiving portion 111, which determines the type of the operation sheet SH according to a detection result at the sheet detection portion. |
