PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it has been difficult to visually recognize and properly distinguish a step projecting position at an insufficiently lit up platform or when a lower movable step is insufficiently lit although lighting is set up.SOLUTION: A fall prevention device for a platform has: a movable step disposed so as to be freely moved out/in to a railroad side end part of the platform, and covering a gap formed between a train and the railroad side end part when the train is stopped; and a drive part for driving moving in/out operation of the movable step. The fall prevention device for a platform includes: a concave long groove formed along a peripheral edge part of the movable step and opened upward; an illuminant laid inside the concave long groove; and an illuminant control unit for making the illuminant perform lighting emission, flashing emission or multicolor light emission when the gap is covered by the movable step. |
