PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for employing an object configured to apply a biasing force, the object being compressed and extended by rods whose position may be fixed, in conjunction with a device that may clamp and hold the captured object with a known pressure.SOLUTION: A biasing device 204 returns to a rest position when subjected to one of a first compression by a first object 106 and a first tension by a second object 108, where the first compression causes a second tension of a third object 110 and the first tension causes a second compression of the third object 110. Elongation of a rod assembly 202 occurs simultaneously with the first tension and the second compression, and occurs simultaneously with the second tension and the first compression. |
