<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in that there is a case where heat generated in a processing circuit concentrates in the imaging area of an imaging chip, with the result that a dark current increases in the imaging area as a result of heat generated in the processing circuit, which leads to image quality degradation.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: an imaging chip including a first face having an imaging area in which a plurality of pixels are arrayed, and a second face, opposite to the first face, having an output section that outputs a pixel signal read from pixel; and a signal processing chip, which includes a processing circuit for processing a pixel signal, including a third face opposite to the second face and having an input section for inputting a pixel signal output from the output section, and arranged in the second face so as to expose at least part of an area opposite the imaging area.</p> |
