PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable diagnosis of an ECU made to correspond to partial networking without changing a software platform of a diagnostic apparatus, in a vehicle diagnostic system.SOLUTION: A vehicle diagnostic system includes: a communication bus (108) disposed inside a vehicle; plural control devices (104) which are connected to one another via the communication bus, and control operations of the vehicle; and a diagnostic apparatus (102) which is connected to the communication bus and diagnoses the operations of the vehicle by collecting diagnostic information from the control devices. Further, each of the control devices has two operation modes, namely, a normal mode in which all functions that the control device has are valid, and a sleep mode in which a part of or all functions except for at least a function of receiving return instruction to the normal mode via the communication bus, are stopped, and at least one control device among the plural control devices transmits the return instruction to other control devices, when receiving a prescribed signal from the diagnostic apparatus. |
