PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light-emitting device having a different light-emitting characteristic in accordance with a region on a light-emitting surface.SOLUTION: A light-emitting device 20 includes: a light guide plate 40 which includes a pair of main surfaces 41, 42 and a lateral surface located between the pair of main surfaces; a light source 30 which is arranged opposite to the lateral surface of the light guide plate 40 located on one side in a first direction d1; a first optical sheet 50 which is arranged opposite to one side main surface 41 of the light guide plate 40 and contains a prism surface 50a; and a second optical sheet 60 which is arranged opposite to one side main surface of the light guide plate on a position shifted from the first optical sheet along a plate surface of the light guide plate 40 and has a prism surface 60a. At least one side of the shape of prism surface and the direction of prism surface in the first optical sheet is different from that in the second optical sheet and, accordingly, such a direction pd1 that light transmitted by the first optical sheet presents the highest brightness is different from such a direction pd2 that light transmitted by the second optical sheet presents the highest brightness. |
