<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tidal current power generation device which utilizes tidal current energy to generate power, achieves low facility costs, and prevents navigation of ships from being inhibited.SOLUTION: A tidal current power generation device includes: an axial flow type propeller 1 which receives a tidal current to rotate; a power generation unit 2 which is connected with the propeller 1 and converts rotation energy of the propeller 1 into electric energy; a support column 3 which is erected on a sea bottom E and supports the propeller 1 and the power generation unit 2; and a blade depth adjustment mechanism 4 which varies depths a, b of a blade 1b of the propeller 1 from a sea surface W. The blade depth adjustment mechanism 4 is provided between the blade 1b of the propeller 1 and a rotation shaft 1a and causes at least one of the blades 1b to be independently rotated to the lower side by its self-weight.</p> |
