PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fuel supply equipment for an internal combustion engine, capable of efficiently separating mixed fuel without lowering the purge efficiency of a canister.SOLUTION: The fuel supply equipment includes a fuel separation system for separating high octane number fuel from fuel in a main tank, a sub tank for storing the high octane number fuel separated by the fuel separation system, the canister communicating the main and sub tanks with each other, and including adsorbent for adsorbing fuel vapor discharged from these tanks, and a purge passage communicating the canister with an intake port. The fuel separation system includes a separator having a separation membrane, and a vacuum pump for lowering a pressure on the further sub tank side than the separation membrane. The fuel supply equipment calculates a maximum vapor allowance A for the generation amount of the separated vapor in the sub tank on the basis of the operating state of the engine, and controls the output of the vacuum pump in such a way that the generation amount of the separated vapor in the sub tank does not exceed the maximum vapor allowance A. |
