PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock device for a vehicle which can satisfactorily perform the absorption of impact of a striker and the prevention of looseness of the striker and exhibit an excellent durability.SOLUTION: A buffer mechanism 5 comes into contact with a striker 99 entering the inner side of an inlet 97 to deform and maintains a state of being contact with the striker 99 even when a fork 11 is displaced to a latch position. The buffer mechanism 5 has a damper 50 made of a flexible material and a holder 60 made of a material harder than the flexible material. The damper 50 has a first flat surface 51 that is generally orthogonal to a first direction and faces the entrance side of the inlet 97 and a second flat surface 52 that is generally orthogonal to the first direction, faces the opposite of the side the first flat surface 51 is facing, and comes into contact with a base member 90. In the holder 60, there are formed a support part 61 that is supported by the base member 90 so that it can be displaced in the first direction and a contact part 62 that extends from the support part 61, covers the first flat surface 51, and can come into contact with the striker 99 entering the inner side of the inlet 97. |
