PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical member that can achieve a liquid crystal display device having excellent mechanical strength and high illuminance.SOLUTION: An optical member of the present invention includes a polarizing plate, a reflective polarizer, and a prism sheet in this order, and has a reflectance of 70% or more to linear polarization, which has a wavelength of 650 nm and is made incident in the reflective polarizer at 45°. Representatively, the prism sheet has columnar unit prisms forming concaves and arrayed in plurality on the opposite side of the reflective polarizer. |
