摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication device usable for both short-range MIMO transmission and long-range multibeam transmission.SOLUTION: An RF matrix circuit 13 of a base station radio communication device 1 weights a reception signal received by an array antenna 11, having a plurality of antenna elements, and a transmission signal transmitted from the array antenna 11 for short-range MIMO transmission. Radio modulator/demodulator units 15-1, 15-2 perform processing to demodulate the weighted reception signal and processing to modulate the transmission signal to output to the RF matrix circuit 13. A communication mode recognition unit 16 determines to perform either a short-range MIMO transmission mode or a sector division transmission mode by multibeam, on the basis of a received training signal. According to the determined mode, a data processing unit 17 performs media access control on the demodulated reception signal, and the transmission signal to be output to the radio modulator/demodulator units 15-1, 15-2.
