PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a fine cellulose fiber composite capable of easily manufacturing a fine cellulose fiber composite suitable for obtaining a fiber-reinforced material excellent in terms of mechanical properties.SOLUTION: The method of the present invention for manufacturing a fine cellulose fiber composite includes a mixing step of preparing a liquid mixture by mixing a dispersion including fine cellulose fibers having an average fiber width of 2-1000 nm with a resin emulsion and a coagulating step of obtaining a gelled matter by adding a coagulant to the liquid mixture so as to coagulate the resin included within the resin emulsion, whereas the liquid mixture is maintained in a virtually stationary placement state at the coagulating step since the commencement of the addition of the coagulant till the obtainment of the gelled matter as a result of the coagulation of the resin.
