摘要 The present invention relates to a method of removing artifacts from a computerized tomography (CT) image by converting a CT image to a polar coordinate system to determine coherence, generating an artifact image vector to inverse-convert only the image vector, and removing the inverse-converted artifact image from an original image to generate an image with the artifact removed therefrom. The method of removing artifacts from a CT image comprises: a step of converting an original image to a polar coordinate system to generate a polar coordinate-converted image; a step of generating an intermediate value filtering image through intermediate value filtering, wherein the intermediate value filtering image is generated by changing respective pixel values of the polar coordinate-converted image to intermediate values between pixel values of the respective pixels and peripheral pixel values; a step of generating a first mask window in the intermediate value filtering image; a step of generating a second mask window in the first mask window; a step of determining coherence among areas in the second mask window by using a variance value; a step of generating an artifact image vector using areas of the second mask window with the variance value lower than a threshold value; a step of generating an inverse-converted artifact image by inverse-converting the artifact image vector to a rectangular coordinate system; and a step of removing the inverse-converted artifact image from the original image.
