PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have a simple configuration and dilate a body cavity using a peristaltic pump without inhibiting an observation of biological information based on a time change in a pressure in the body cavity.SOLUTION: A body cavity dilation device 100 dilates a body cavity X by supplying fluid A to the body cavity X via a tube 11 inserted into the body cavity X of a living body. The body cavity dilation device includes: a pressurizing mechanism that presses a tube 11 with flexibility in the radial direction and moves a pressing position in the longitudinal direction of the tube 11 so as to apply peristaltic motion to the tube 11; and a control unit 5 that controls the pressurizing mechanism so as to repetitively apply the peristaltic motion to the tube 11 at a time cycle shorter than a time cycle of the body motion of the living body.
