<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diffraction type multifocal ophthalmic lens of a new structure and a method of the diffraction type multifocal ophthalmic lens that enable improvement in quality of a way of vision by reducing a peak of light amplitude intensity in a sideband region on an imaging plane on the basis of finding obtained as a result of performed clarification of a mechanism of the diffraction type multifocal ophthalmic lens for the purpose of reducing a halo or a blurred vision in the diffraction type multifocal ophthalmic lens enabling a plurality of focal points to be formed.SOLUTION: In a diffraction type multifocal ophthalmic lens, a zone as an area for cancelling is formed that imparts an amplitude distribution making a sideband considered to be a main cause of a halo or a blurred vision on an imaging plane in one focal point reduced in a cancelling-out way.</p> |
