PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of a user terminal in a wireless communication system that performs carrier aggregation by aggregating component carriers in a macrocell and component carriers in a small cell.SOLUTION: A discontinuous reception method comprises: a step of classifying radio bearers to be set for a user terminal into either an RB group 1 of radio bearers associated with a component carrier in a macrocell, or an RB group 2 of radio bearers associated with a component carrier in a small cell; and a step of transmitting to the user terminal a DRX set 1 to be used in discontinuous reception of data via a radio bearer of the RB group 1, and a DRX set 2 to be used in the discontinuous reception of data via a radio bearer of the RB group 2.
